In the last years the community has helped me translate the subtitles for a lot of my videos.
“Cleanternet” for example – a video about internet censorship got translated into 12 different languages – all thanks to the community.
But it was always a hassle, getting all the subtitles via email and having to add them myself. So a couple of months ago I signed up for amara.org which is an online subtitle editor and Youtube also launched a community subtitle feature.
So because of amara and the new youtube feature and thanks to everyone who took the time to translate the subtitles for “Net neutrality explained!” this video has already been translated into 13 different languages. I am very grateful for that.
If you want to help with the translation. Here is the Link to the amara page of “Net neutrality explained“.
So finally I want to thank the following contributors:
Thank you so much for your help!

I made a new Video for the save the internet campaign. In Europe net neutrality is once again (or still) at stake. Watch Net neutrality explained! Why we need to savetheinternet.eu to learn more.
You can also visit savetheinternet.eu to help.
It’s a much shorter video than net neutrality kills or the two other ones ( 1. Netzneutralität – Uebermorgen.TV 12 / 2: Telekom – Netz der Zukunft / Drosselkom / Netzneutralität ) that I made in the last years about net neutrality. But this time it’s more a short promotional video that only explains why we need to convince the regulators right now.

My latest contribution to the project “Eating refugees” (Flüchtlinge Fressen) is a film that shows a customized Airplane I designed with The Center for Political Beauty.
The sequences I made can be seen here, or embedded in the longer trailer for the campaign.
We fund the plane of the Air Mission of the German civil society via crowdfunding. The aircraft Joachim 1 is already waiting at a German airport for its historical mission on the 28th of June 2016, which is made possible by you. You can even join the flight.
The campaign and it’s images could even be seen in the House of German Parliament.
I also recommend watching the speech of the first refugee that wanted to volunteer for being eaten by the tigers.
The crowdfunding for this project could more than 80k €.
But airberlin, the airline that was chartered to safely fly refugees to germany, cancelled the contract. Which is even worse if you know that airberlin is an airline that makes money with the deportation of refugees.

Last year I also made another video about net neutrality.
It’s already the third video regarding this topic. Unfortunately I have to say. The first one is a video that explains the possible future with and without net neutrality: “Netzneutralität // Uebermorgen.TV 12“. I contributed a couple of minutes of animation to this one.
The second one is “Telekom – Netz der Zukunft / Drosselkom / Netzneutralität“. Which explains net neutrality from the perspective of germanys biggest ISP: Deutsche Telekom. It got rather popular in germany.
After this approach I wanted to make a more neutral video that mostly explains all the bullshit statements that Günther Oettinger and a lot of other lobbyists are trying to spread. So “Net neutrality kills” was born.
It’s available with an english narrator: Net neutrality kills – but also with a german narrator: Netzneutralität tötet.
Visually it looks rather different than most of my other videos. That’s because I tried a completely different style this time. I had to work on this while I was traveling so it’s all rendered with a good old “scanline” renderer. I added the smooth drop shadows in my editing program. So I could render this on my 4 year or laptop within a couple of hours.

Since the last update I worked on quite a lot of animations and films.
After the “Flüchtlingsdenkmal” (Monument for Refugees) I worked on another animation for the “Zentrum für politische Schönheit”. This time I designed a prototype for a floating platform. The other Part of the Video is classic archviz of a bridge spanning over the mediterranean sea.
Both concepts are supposed to save the lives of the thousands of humans that are still drowning in the sea today. The Video is called “Die Brücke | The Bridge | Le pont “.
The Site of the project can be found here: Die Jean-Monnet-Brücke
And here is the same Video on another youtube channel: politcal beauty

‘Haven’t been blogging for a while but have been quite busy working on new projects.
The most recent one was another realtime Animation with “tooll“. This time with a completely different style of music. I had to make some last minute changes which didn’t really improve anything, so I will most probably release an updated version soon. The lovely music is by gloom. And as always, you can download it and run it in realtime on your hardware.
In June I collaborated once more with the “Zentrum für politische Schönheit“. I designed a graveyard in the middle of the government district in berlin:
Before that I made a little animation that explains the european / german debate about “net neutrality”. English version is coming soon:
Earlier this year I released another demo at the Nvidia gtc / nvscene demoscene event. “coronoid” was an experiement about music and visuals. “JCO” who did all the sounds and music wrote a really cool blogpost about the whole workflow: The Sound of “Coronoid”
Don’t forget to download and watch it in 4k, 8k or even in 12k😉
Then I tried visualizing the “wealth inequality”-statistics that you might have seen in one form or another. A very minimalistic approach:

After almost one year of hard work, I finally released my newest animation: Wir Lieben Überwachung (We love surveillance)
It’s german with english subtitles. But I am working on a real english version.
In case you are wondering why ONE REASON ist not working anymore. I have released a final version with corrected numbers. Enjoy:
